Immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of Yellowstone National Park during winter on this 9-day photography tour, crafted for nature and wildlife enthusiasts. Winter transforms Yellowstone into a serene wonderland, offering an unparalleled opportunity to capture its iconic landscapes and wildlife under blankets of snow and frost.
We’ll venture into the park each day and all day, exploring its snow-covered forests, steaming geysers, and vast frozen lakes. Highlights dramatic light and geothermal mist create ethereal scenes, and sunset sessions at Lamar Valley, often called the โSerengeti of North Americaโ for its abundant wildlife.
Throughout the journey, youโll have opportunities to photograph iconic Yellowstone wildlife, including bison, elk, wolves, and bald eagles, against pristine snowy backdrops. Midday excursions will take you to geothermal features like Mammoth Hot Springs and Grand Prismatic Spring, where vibrant colors pop against the stark white snow. Experienced guides will ensure youโre positioned for the best shots while your leader provides tips to enhance your photography skills.
This year we are staying in a beautiful house right in the center of Gardiner. Meals will be professionally catered with some dinner at the iconic Wonderland Cafe. Transportation is via heated Sprinter Vans stocked with water and hot tea and cocoa.ย We’ll have two days on snow coaches in the interior of the park, ensuring access to remote locations with ease.

Sarah E. Devlin is a wildlife and nature photographer and the founder of Women In Wildlife Photography LLC.ย Her love for nature photography began many years ago when she discovered the connection between photography and mindfulness.ย Since then Sarah has developed a deep connection with nature through her photography that has transformed and improved the quality of her life.ย It is her passion to encourage others, especially women, to find the therapeutic quality of nature through a lens.ย Today she travels internationally leading and organizing wildlife photography tours for women and helping to promote other professional women wildlife photographers.ย Sarah has a unique style to her photography which has garnered several awards including Audubon and NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association) top 100. Her work has been featured in publications such as Natures Best Photography and Wild Planet.ย Sarah is based in the eastern United States.

Day 1 (Jan. 29th)
Guests arrive in Bozeman and spend the night at a local hotel near the airport.
Day 2 (Jan. 30th)
Our guide picks us up in hotel lobby at 10:00 am. We arrive in Gardiner MT about noon, drop our luggage off, have a quick lunch then set out to explore Mammoth Terraces. Catered buffet dinner in a private setting.
Day 3 and 4 (Jan. 31st – Feb. 1st)
Our guide picks us up at 6:30 am and we spend the day in the Northern Range. Picnic breakfast and lunch, dinner either private catered buffet or at the Wonderland Cafรฉ.
Day 5 and 6 (Feb. 2nd – 3rd)
Our guide picks us up at 6:30 am and transports us to the Mammoth Hotel to board a private snow coach. We spend the day in the Interior of the park. Picnic breakfast and lunch. Dinner either private catered buffet or at the Wonderland Cafรฉ
Day 7 and 8 (Feb. 4th – 5th)
Our guide picks us up at 6:30 am and we spend the day in the Northern Range. Picnic breakfast and lunch, dinner either private catered buffet or at the Wonderland Cafรฉ.
Day 9 (Feb. 6th)
Guide picks us up at 7:30 am to return to Bozeman for flights home.

All payments are non-refundable unless a tour is cancelled due to under-enrollment, in which case you will receive a full refund of your initial deposit, or you may transfer your deposit to a future tour.
There will be no refunds if you need to cancel your trip for any reason.
In the event we need to cancel a tour due to natural disaster, pandemic, labor strikes, or any other situation that is beyond our control, there will be no refunds.
We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance as soon as you book your trip, in most cases this will be your only recourse for a refund.ย Trip insurance that includes medical evacuation is required for all international tours.
