Details

Squamish is home to one of the largest populations of Bald Eagles in North America during the fall and winter months. The eagles congregate in the area, particularly around the Squamish and Cheakamus Rivers, to feed on salmon that spawn and die in the rivers.

Expect to photograph these majestic birds in their natural habitat as they hunt and feed on the abundant salmon. Not only are the eagles plentiful but the landscape along the river is breathtaking, making for some stunning backdrops.

About your leader…
Sabina Moll‘s connection to nature blossomed early on and on led her to earn a Master’s degree in Biology, where she deepened her understanding of ecosystems and conservation, before developing her career as an expedition leader and wildlife photographer.  Her work and passion has taken her to some of the most wild and breathtaking places on Earth, including the magnificent Great Bear Rainforest on the West Coast of Canada, where she found her new home.  As an expedition guide, she shares her love for the natural world, leading immersive adventures that connect participants to the rich biodiversity of the places they go to.  Photography plays a pivotal role in her storytelling. She uses her camera to capture the intricate beauty of nature, showcasing both its splendor and the pressing conservation issues we face. It’s important to her that while striving to create stunning images, she enhances her connection to the land rather than disrupt it. Sabina finds great joy in helping others to enhance their photography skills, so they can tell their own stories.
