Homer, fondly known as the “Halibut Fishing Capital of the World,” serves as the perfect gateway to Alaska’s pristine wilderness. With its breathtaking landscapes and abundant wildlife, this coastal gem promises an unforgettable adventure.
Led by seasoned wildlife photographer, Traci Sepkovic and a local guide, this tour provides unparalleled access to some of Alaska’s most coveted photography spots. From Sea Otters with their pups to the majestic bald eagles soaring over Kachemak Bay, every encounter is a masterpiece waiting to be captured.
Prepare to be mesmerized as you witness the rugged coastline, where glaciers meet the sea, and keep your camera ready for fleeting glimpses of playful sea otters,and seals. Traverse lush forests and meadows teeming with wildlife, from moose and caribou to the elusive snowshoe hare. Aside from mammals, this tour promises a long list of bird species as well, including: bald eagle, rock sandpiper, gray-crowned rosy finch, snow bunting, long tailed duck, pelagic cormorant, double crested cormorant, bufflehead, common golden eye, red necked grebe, pine grosbeak, pine siskin, canada jay, boreal chickadee, common redpoll, red crossbill, white winged crossbill.

March 3rd – 8th, 2025
Day 1 (March 3rd)
Our tour begins at 10:00 am at our hotel, Land’s End Resort in Homer, where we will meet briefly before heading out to search for eagles on the Homer spit, then we’ll spend some time photographing Gray-crowned Rosy-finches by the harbor. In the afternoon we will head to a grocery store so everyone can stock up on food items to pack for breakfasts and lunches for the duration of the tour (breakfasts and lunches are not included with this tour) Your hotel room is equipped with a refrigerator. We will be having dinners together as a group (included up to $45 and not including alcohol).
*Please note, most of you will most likely need to arrive in Homer the day before (March 2nd), not included.
Day 2 (March 4th)
We’ll spend the morning with Sea Otters and pups and later photograph songbirds and search for owls and moose. Lunch at Fat Olives.
Day 3 (March 5th)
On the target list today are roosting Rock Sandpipers at high tide, Bald Eagles, sunset with Gray-crowned Rosy-finches. Dinner at AJ’s Steakhouse.
Day 4 (March 6th)
At sunrise we will focus on Long Tailed Ducks, Buffleheads, Common Goldeneye, Cormorants and Stellar’s Eiders on Homer Spit. Later we’ll have a forest walk looking for Woodpeckers and Goshawks. Dinner at Twisted Goat.
Day 5 (March 7th)
In the morning we’ll drive about half hour to Anchor Point bird feeder for Pine Grosbeaks, Black-capped Chickadees, Boreal Chickadees, Common Redpolls, Canada Jays, Stellar’s Jay, White-winged Crossbills, Red Crossbills, and Pine Siskins. Final group dinner at Land’s End Resort.
Day 6, (March 8th)
Check out of lodging in the morning. Depending on flight departure times, we will focus on whatever the group decides before departing for the airport and flights home.

All payments are non-refundable unless a tour is cancelled due to under-enrollment, in which case you will receive a full refund of your initial deposit, or you may transfer your deposit to a future tour.
There will be no refunds if you need to cancel your trip for any reason.
In the event we need to cancel a tour due to natural disaster, pandemic, labor strikes, or any other situation that is beyond our control, there will be no refunds.
We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance as soon as you book your trip, in most cases this will be your only recourse for a refund. Trip insurance that includes medical evacuation is required for all international tours
