There are few destinations that capture the imagination quite like Kenya.
From the towering elephants of Amboseli National Park to the legendary plains of the Maasai Mara, Kenya offers some of the finest wildlife viewing on Earth. This thoughtfully designed safari combines breathtaking landscapes, exceptional wildlife encounters, beautiful accommodations, and the camaraderie of traveling with a small group of like-minded women.
Our journey begins beneath the snow-capped peak of Mount Kilimanjaro, where we’ll spend several days exploring Amboseli National Park, famous for its enormous elephant herds and dramatic scenery. We’ll then travel through Kenya’s spectacular Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park, home to both black and white rhinos, giraffes, lions, and an incredible diversity of birdlife.
The grand finale is four unforgettable nights in the Maasai Mara National Reserve—one of Africa’s most celebrated wildlife destinations. Here we’ll have ample time to explore the vast savannah in search of lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffalo, and countless other species that call this remarkable ecosystem home.
Designed for just six women, this intimate safari allows everyone plenty of room in our safari vehicles and the flexibility to fully enjoy every wildlife encounter. Between game drives, we’ll unwind in carefully selected accommodations, enjoy wonderful cuisine, and soak in the magic of Africa—from sunrise over the savannah to unforgettable sunsets beneath endless skies.

Sarah E. Devlin is an award-winning wildlife and nature photographer and the founder of Women In Wildlife Photography LLC, an organization dedicated to empowering and uplifting women in the field of wildlife photography. Her journey began with a deeply personal discovery—the profound therapeutic connection between photography and mental well-being. Since then, she has cultivated a powerful bond with the natural world, using her lens not only as a creative outlet but as a tool for transformation and healing.
Today, Sarah leads international photography expeditions exclusively for women, fostering community, confidence, and creative growth in some of the most stunning natural environments on earth. Her unique photographic style—recognized for its emotional depth and artistic vision—has earned her numerous accolades, including placement in the prestigious Audubon and NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association) Top 100 competitions.
Her work has been featured in acclaimed publications such as Nature’s Best Photography and continues to inspire audiences around the world. Based in the northeastern United States, Sarah remains deeply committed to her mission: helping women discover the restorative power of nature through the art of photography.
ITINERARY
OCTOBER 8TH -19TH, 2027
Day 1 (Oct. 8th) – Welcome to Kenya
Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, you’ll be met and transferred to our charming boutique hotel. Settle in, relax after your journey, and meet your fellow travelers as we prepare for the adventure ahead.
Overnight: Macushla House
Day 2 (Oct. 9th)– Journey to Amboseli National Park
After breakfast we depart Nairobi and travel south toward Amboseli National Park, one of Kenya’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Arriving in time for lunch, we’ll settle into our lodge before heading out on our first afternoon game drive.
Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds and unforgettable views of Mount Kilimanjaro. As the afternoon light softens, we’ll begin our search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, and many other species that inhabit these open plains.
Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge
Days 3 & 4 (Oct. 10th-11th) – Exploring Amboseli
We’ll spend two full days exploring Amboseli National Park with morning and afternoon game drives.
The open landscapes provide exceptional wildlife viewing and wonderful photographic opportunities. Large elephant families roam freely across the grasslands while buffalo, wildebeest, gazelles, hyenas, and numerous bird species complete the scene. If conditions cooperate, we’ll enjoy spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro rising above the plains.
During the middle of the day we’ll return to our lodge to relax before venturing back out as wildlife becomes active again in the cooler afternoon hours.
Overnight: Amboseli Serena Safari Lodge
Day 5 (Oct. 12th) – Nairobi & Wildlife Conservation
After breakfast we return to Nairobi.
This afternoon we’ll visit two of Kenya’s most beloved conservation organizations. At the Giraffe Centre we’ll have the opportunity to learn about the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe before continuing to the renowned David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust to witness orphaned elephants during their afternoon visit.
We’ll conclude the day with a wonderful group dinner before returning to our boutique hotel.
Overnight: Macushla House
Day 6 (Oct. 13th) – Into the Great Rift Valley
Today we journey north through the spectacular Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park.
After arriving at our beautiful lodge overlooking the lake, we’ll enjoy lunch before heading out on an afternoon game drive. Lake Nakuru is one of Kenya’s best places to see both black and white rhinos and is also home to lions, leopards, giraffes, buffalo, zebras, and hundreds of bird species.
Overnight: The Cliff
Day 7 (Oct. 14th) – Lake Nakuru National Park
Wake to beautiful views over Lake Nakuru before enjoying a memorable breakfast experience overlooking the water.
We’ll spend another day exploring the park with morning and afternoon game drives, taking time to appreciate both its remarkable wildlife and dramatic scenery.
Overnight: The Cliff
Day 8 (Oct. 15th) – Maasai Mara National Reserve
After breakfast we travel to the world-famous Maasai Mara.
Arriving in time for lunch, we’ll settle into camp before embarking on our first game drive across these legendary grasslands. As evening approaches, we’ll enjoy a traditional African sundowner while watching the sun sink below the horizon—a fitting introduction to one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations.
Overnight: Serenity Mara Legends Camp
Days 9–11 (Oct. 16th-18th) – Safari in the Maasai Mara
We’ll enjoy three full days exploring the extraordinary Maasai Mara.
Morning and afternoon game drives maximize our opportunities to encounter the incredible wildlife that makes this reserve famous. Lions lounging beneath acacia trees, cheetahs scanning the plains, elusive leopards, elephant herds, giraffes, hyenas, jackals, and countless antelope species are all possible during our stay.
The extended time in the Mara allows us to slow down and truly immerse ourselves in the rhythms of the African wilderness while giving us the flexibility to spend quality time with exceptional wildlife sightings.
Guests may also choose to experience an optional sunrise hot-air balloon safari, offering breathtaking aerial views of the Mara followed by a champagne bush breakfast.
Each evening we’ll return to camp to share stories of the day’s adventures over dinner beneath the African sky.
Overnight: Serenity Mara Legends Camp
Day 12 (Oct. 19th) – Farewell Kenya
After breakfast we’ll begin our journey back to Nairobi.
Upon arrival we’ll have access to day rooms near the airport to freshen up and relax before our international flights home. As our unforgettable Kenyan adventure comes to an end, you’ll depart with incredible memories, lasting friendships, and a camera filled with images from one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations.

Photography Guidance
Light
This tour is designed as a wildlife-focused experience for women who enjoy photography. The emphasis is on time in the field observing wildlife and enjoying the experience together. Guidance and tips are always available if you’d like them, but there are no formal lessons or structured instruction. All levels welcome.
ACTIVITY LEVEL
Easy
This safari is suitable for most travelers and requires only a moderate level of mobility. Most wildlife viewing is done from comfortable, custom-built safari vehicles. Daily activities primarily involve sitting during game drives, with regular opportunities to get out of the vehicle at lodges, rest stops, and designated picnic areas.
Guests should be comfortable with:
- Climbing one or two steps into and out of the safari vehicle several times each day.
- Walking short distances (generally less than ¼ mile) on occasionally uneven ground at lodges and parking areas.
- Sitting for extended periods during game drives, with breaks throughout the day.
- Traveling on sometimes bumpy dirt roads.
There are no strenuous hikes or long walks included in this itinerary, making it an excellent choice for travelers seeking an immersive wildlife experience without demanding physical activity.
