SPRING IN GRAND TETON
May 31st - June 5th, 2025
3 Spaces Available!
Spring is one of the best times of the year to visit Grand Teton National Park. It is a magical time when the landscape transitions from the quiet of winter to the vibrant awakening of nature. This is the time of year that bears emerge from hibernation (often with cubs!) elk and moose begin dropping their calves, and bison graze in the valleys.
As the snow melts, the landscape bursts into life with colorful wildflowers carpeting the meadows and hillsides. Arrowleaf balsamroot, Lupine, and glacier lilies add splashes of color to the scenery. While the brightly colored songbirds, such as the mountain bluebird return for the summer and begin to nest.
Join award winning wildlife photographer Jennifer Leigh Warner on this photographic journey through the iconic Grand Teton National Park. Jennifer has been photographing in this area for nearly 20 years and eager to share with you some of her favorite locations to walk away with exceptional photographs. Additionally you will visit famous locations such as Moulton Barn and Schwabacher Landing as well as off-the-beaten-path areas in search of many wildlife species that inhabit the park.
Wildlife often seen includes.
Grizzly Bear, Black Bear, Bison, Elk, Pronghorn, Mule Deer, Moose, Red Fox, Coyote, Least Chipmunk, Unita Ground Squirrel, Beaver, Mountain Bluebird, Ruffed Grouse, Osprey, Goldeneye, Bald Eagle, Ravens, Yellow Warbler and Sandhill Cranes.
This time of year the majestic Grand Teton mountains will typically be capped with snow making for a beautiful backdrop for photography. This workshop is perfect for photographers of all levels and mobility. We will be photographing road-side and only taking small walks to scenic locations. Don’t forget your tripods for sunrise and sunset landscape photos, as the views in this park are considered some of the best views in the world to photograph.
We will be staying near the historic town of Jackson Hole, which is conveniently located on the edge of the National Park. to get here, you can fly directly into the Jackson Hole airport, which is the only commercial airport in the United States located directly in a National Park.
