Discover the Wild Heart of India with Confidence and Wonder
This thoughtfully curated two-week journey ventures deep into the soul of Madhya Pradesh, one of India’s most wildlife-rich and culturally profound regions. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be in the expert care of Anu Marwah, a native of India and internationally acclaimed wildlife photographer. Anu not only brings deep knowledge of her home country and its cultural nuances but also ensures that every guest feels safe, supported, and inspired every step of the way.
As a contributing photographer to the award-winning Remembering Tigers series, Anu will be sharing her expertise in capturing India’s majestic wildlife—especially the elusive Bengal tiger—in its natural habitat.
We begin our adventure in Panna Tiger Reserve, known for its dramatic gorges, ancient teak forests, and increasing tiger sightings thanks to outstanding conservation success. With fewer tourists than more famous parks, Panna offers a raw, intimate experience of wild India. Here, you’ll enjoy morning and afternoon game drives through breathtaking terrain, photographing not only tigers in golden light, but also sloth bears, leopards, jackals, and an incredible array of birds—including paradise flycatchers, owls, and endangered vultures.
After days in Panna, the safari continues to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, one of India’s most iconic tiger habitats. With one of the highest densities of tigers in the country, Bandhavgarh offers exceptional chances of photographing these elusive cats in a variety of backdrops—from bamboo thickets and sal forests to open meadows. The reserve’s rich biodiversity also includes deer species like sambar and chital, langurs, wild boars, and a striking array of raptors and forest birds.
In order to give you the best photographic opportunities, we’ve arranged for only be two guests per jeep. This means that everyone will have open access to both sides of the vehicle and plenty of room for gear. This does raise the cost of the safari but is a feature we feel is important to give you the highest quality experience.
Please note…there are no safaris on Wednesday afternoons per park regulations. Other activities will be arranged.
